Dan is an Environmental Literacy Consultant, the Safe Routes to School (SRTS) Coordinator for Carson City School District, a substitute teacher in public schools of Carson City and Washoe County, and a substitute at residential outdoor schools.

In my personal life, my favorite activities are backpacking, contra dancing, watching movies, reading and hanging out with friends.

I've lived in Carson City for seven years, coming here to work at Great Basin Outdoor School, to get to the dry side of the mountains, and to leave to cell-phone, SUV, rush that Santa Cruz had sadly become.

I spend a lot of time, perhaps too much, maintaining websites for myself, which are at left, and other for nonprofit organizations, which can be viewed from my Raincloud Publishing site, also at left.

I have served on the boards of a number of nonprofit organizations in Nevada and California.
